AIC Launches Comprehensive Online Archive for Annual Publications
The AIC is pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated online archive for its annual publications. This new platform,
built using PKP-OMP (Open Monograph Press), consolidates and preserves the AIC Annual Newsletters, Annual Reports, and Annual Reviews, which have been published since 1984.
The new AIC Annual Review, published every year in March, provides a comprehensive report on the association’s members
activities. Previously, from 2012 to 2017, the publication was known as the AIC Annual Report, while from 1984 to 2011, it was released as an Annual Newsletter.
The new AIC Publishing platform enhances accessibility to these resources, ensuring that researchers, professionals,
and members of the global color community can explore decades of valuable insights into color science, design, education, and application. By migrating to PKP-OMP, AIC strengthens its commitment to open-access publishing, structured archiving, and streamlined
management of its scholarly outputs.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize AIC’s publishing activities and improve the dissemination of
knowledge within the international color community. The platform will continue to evolve, providing free access to past and future editions of the AIC’s flagship publications.
|
IMPORTANT:
As we transition to the new AIC Publishing platform, we kindly invite our colour community members
to register to ensure continued access to the AIC Newsletter and updates on our annual publications.

Study Group on Colour Education (SGCE)
Updates on the Colour Literacy Project (CLP)
The
Colour Literacy Project (CLP) is entering its next phase with the launch
of CLP 2.0. Building on the achievements of CLP 1.0 (2018–2024), which developed innovative educational resources such as the
Eye-Opener and STEAM series, teacher training programs, and interdisciplinary frameworks, this global project continues to expand its impact. The first phase also focused on dissemination through a dedicated website, an online series of Colour
Literacy Forums, and the establishment of the K-12 Partners Network, collaborating with international schools to promote wider engagement.
In CLP 2.0 (2025–2026), the project will extend its reach by developing a Post-Secondary Partners Network and refining
its materials to better support higher education. Efforts will also focus on increasing global accessibility through multilingual resources and strengthening both academic and international outreach.
Over the next few months, CLP will be presented at major conferences, including the
7th Interdisciplinary and Virtual Conference on Arts in Education (CIVAE 2025) in March and the
Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE 2025) Conference in April. These events will provide opportunities to share insights from the project and connect with art educators and researchers worldwide.
